The UBC’s (Ultimate Beverage Challenge) very first Ultimate Spirits Challenge was held on March 1-3, 2010 at Astor Center in New York City. The UBC’s primary goal is to generate a new higher level of standards in beverage competitions based on trustworthiness, integrity and credibility. With over 520 entries the judges had 4 stages of judging over the course of 3 days and only a handful made the finals and semifinals. Joining the ranks of Tequila/Mezcal products to make the semifinals was the Azuñia Tequila line, with the Añejo receiving an Excellent Rating and Strong Recommendation with 93 pts.
